Bone Grafting
Another procedure that can be used to prepare your jawbone for an implant is a bone graft. Similar to a sinus graft, a bone graft involves a surgical procedure whereby your jawbone is bulked up by adding artificial or harvested bone chips. This graft area is then left for a while to mesh into the jawbone and blood vessels so that it forms a stable base for the implant, which is similar to bone.
Dr Andrew Legg has extensive clinical experience and training in this delicate grafting procedure and his patients have enjoyed good results with their subsequent implants. He makes use of advanced x-rays and treatment planning software to ensure the quality and accuracy of all his dental implant and grafting procedures.
